Welcome! This website is the story of a coming together of people, places and creative energy. The output was the most amazing collection of felted artwork. |

The first ingredient was Lake Junaluska in the Great Smoky Mountains of western North Carolina. The warm days and cool evenings in the beautiful mountains created an ideal place to learn and create. A total of 275 people attended the SOAR workshops and retreat. |

The Lake Junaluska Assembly Conference Center provided wonderful accommodations, excellent food and spacious meeting rooms. |

Many of the workshops were held in the main building. The Felt It! Bag It! workshop was held in another Assembly building directly on the lake. |

The second ingredient was a group of seventeen creative, highly-motivated people who had come to learn or improve felting skills. All came with polished fiber-arts talents that provided wonderful cross pollination within the learning adventure. |

The key ingredient to the success of the workshop was mentor Beth Beede. With 26 years of experience in award-winning felting, Beth brought vigor and enthusiam to the workshop. Beth has exhibited her work in galleries and museums in Europe, Australia, and the United States. "Full, full, full..." |
